HO! HO! HO! The 2007 Huguenot Volunteer Fire Department Santa Breakfast was a success! All the kids were waiting for Santa to arrive, then appeared a shiny yellow fire engine driven by Engineer Greg Paulette with Santa riding the seat.

Twice today, dedicated members of the finest firehouse in Powhatan attended community events. For three hours, FF/EMT's Atkins and Reaves, Captain Blair, and FF's Sullivan, LC Urbine, and FE Urbine took Rescue 2 and Engine 2 to Old Powhatan Baptist Church for a fire prevention display.

Upon returning to quarters from a previous restaurant fire, members were disturbed to find that another member (name of member, just off probation, withheld to protect the innocent) found that the 200' cord reel was in a state of disarray.

The members of Company 2 were notified today that our station has been selected as a location for a Pierce PUC (Pierce Ultimate Configuration) demonstration. This demo will be held on Saturday, June 23rd at 0830 hours, and should last about 2 hours.
Congratulations are in order for T.J. Smith, the Deuce's newest EMT! TJ sucessfully passed his Emergency Medical Technician class recently, and should be cleared as an Attendant in Charge in the near future.
